There is an inscription by Osborn that is partially legible. (The last name is illegible, possibly a presentation copy to a friend or associate of the author.) Signed by Osborn and inscribed "To Simon R_______ / With / Affectionate Regards" on the front free endpaper. Red endpapers, salmon colored top stain with code "0871" present on front jacket flap indicating an August, 1971 printing. This copy is clean, without previous owners' marks or plates. Bound in dark blue cloth with gilt lettering and original $4.95 price intact. Two small, closed tears (1 cm in length) at top edge of front jacket panel. Copy is clean, square without previous owner's marks. An almost pristine copy of a seminal work that helped define a generation of lawyers.
