Arrendale narrates most of this book in a poignant earnestness that verges on the philosophical and showcases Moon's gift for characterization." - Publisher's Weekly. "Moon is effective at putting the reader inside Lou's mind, and it is both fascinating and painful to see the behavior and qualities of so-called normals through his eyes." - Meredith Parets, American Library Association. Award History: 2004 Nebula Award Winner for Best Novel; Locus Magazine: Best of 2003 Recommended Reading List for Science Fiction Novels; Amazon.com Top Ten Books of 2003 - Science Fiction & Fantasy.

Aside from some scuffing along the bottom edges of the boards and light age-related wear at the top edge, the boards and page block are square, bright and without marks. Excellent condition for this book club. The jacket has light crinkling at top and bottom corners of the spine panel with one small, closed tear (2 cm in length) at the bottom edge of rear jacket panel.
