Collector's note that all points are present (many sellers represent they have a 1st Printing without describing the points which indicate a true 1st printing). Full number sequence "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 9/9 0/0 " with the notations "Printed in the U.S.A. 37" and "First American Edition, October 1999" each stated on copyright page. The $19.95 price is intact on the front jacket flap with the code 51995 above smaller barcode line on the rear jacket panel is also present. Dark green boards with embossed diamond quilt pattern, purple cloth on spine and red endpapers. This copy shows no wear to the page block or jacket. Now iconic full color, wrap-around jacket illustration by Mary GrandPre with 23 interior illustrations. Award History: 2000 Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel.

Collector's note that all first printing points are present (some online sellers represent they have a first printing without describing the points which indicate a true first printing): Full number sequence "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" and " 9/9 0/0 1 2 3 4" on the same line with the notations "Printed in the U.S.A. 37" and "First American Edition, October 1999" each stated on copyright page. The $19.95 price is intact on the front jacket flap with the code 51995 above smaller bar code line on the rear jacket panel. The number "3" is present on the spine (this is the first book where the volume number in the series was added - the first printings for the two prior Harry Potter books did not have any volume numbers on their spines.) The book is straight and spine is square without the usual lean from heavy handling. The jacket is complete without tears, price clipping or the ubiquitous dedications and other previous owner's marks. A extremely well-preserved copy which are becoming more rare as time passes. Now iconic jacket illustration by Mary GrandPre with 23 interior illustrations. Award History: 2000 Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel.
