Colin Smythe, 1987,

Book Club (BCE/BOMC), Hardcover, Fine, Fine. Book. Kirby, Josh
Book Club, first printing and first US hardcover edition. (Previously published in the UK by Colin Smyth in 1986.) The 2nd Discworld novel. All first US hardcover editions were published as book club editions until HarperCollins took over publishing with Small Gods, the 12th novel. All first printing points are present: Code #11154 on rear jacket panel with first printing code "R32" on page 188. Light blue boards with the title in gold lettering on the spine. (If the gutter code is anything other than R32 and the lettering is not gold then it is a later printing.) Faint bump at head of spine panel, however the jacket is intact, the tips are sharp and the spine is straight and square. A fine (unread) copy in fine jacket. A clean copy without price clipping and rare to find in fine condition. Not a remainder nor ex-library copy. A wonderful copy featuring the outstanding full color, wrap-around jacket illustration by Josh Kirby. The second Discworld novel, preceded by The Colour of Magic. Doubleday's Science Fiction Book Club became the US distributor and all the Discworld hardcovers in the US were first published as Book Club editions starting with Colour of Magic (Discworld #1) through Witches Abroad (#12). After, all hardcovers were published in the US by HarperCollins. An iconic book.
