BONES OF ZORA [THE], De Camp, L. Sprague and Catherine De Camp
4 BONES OF ZORA [THE]
De Camp, L. Sprague and Catherine De Camp
Phantasia Press, 1983, 0932096271 / 9780932096272

First Edition, Hardcover, Fine, Fine. Book. Poyser, Victoria
Hardcover first edition and first trade edition. (Preceded by the signed and numbered Phantasia limited edition.) One of 2,000 trade copies. Not a book club, remainder or ex-library copy. Except for small amount of crinkling at top and bottom corners of the dustjacket, this copy is straight, unmarked and very fine (unread) condition in very fine dustjacket. Difficult to find Phantasia titles in very fine condition. The sixth book in De Camp's campy but very fun Krishna series. The series is both SF and Fantasy (starfarers marooned on a medieval world are exploited technically and sexually by the savvy natives), and de Camp took time in this series to poke fun at the SF/Fantasy stereotypes. We'll miss him. Phantasia Press was the premier specialty publisher for SF and Fantasy titles in the 1980's, and these finely crafted editions are very collectible, and theirs titles included Asimov's Robots of Dawn, Brin's Startide Rising, Ellison's Medea, and Gibson's Neuromancer. Excellent full color, wrap-around dustjacket illustration by Victoria Poyser.

McATRIX DERIDED (aka Matrix Derided), Robertski Brothers (pseud. Adam Roberts)
7 McATRIX DERIDED (aka Matrix Derided)
Robertski Brothers (pseud. Adam Roberts)
Gollancz, 2004, 0575075686 / 9780575075689

First Edition, Hardcover, Very Fine, Very Fine. Book. Carrel, Douglas
Hardcover UK, first printing and true first edition. Very fine (unread) copy in very fine jacket. Not a book club, remainder or ex-library copy. Rich parody of the Matrix movies by Adam Roberts using the pseudonym the Robertski Brothers. (This book is often mis-titled as "The Matrix Derided" in sellers' listings.) Roberts is also the author of the bestselling parody The Soddit and the science fiction novels Salt, On, Polystom and Snow. In addition to the biting wit, included is a hilariously funny "catalog" listing additional titles from the "SF Masterpieces Cheaper Than Commissioning New Novels Reprint" series published by "Victor Gollums" including: "Dung" by Francis 'Dip' Sherbert; "Nerdomancer" by William 'Wild-Bill' Hiccough-Gibson and "The Second Mars Trilogy" by Stan Lee Kim-il-Sung Robinsonade, among other famous authors.
