Full leather with gold lettering and gilt edges, satin placeholder ribbon, silk endpapers, and original frontispiece painting by David Dietrick. Expansion from the novella with Arthur C. Clarke titled Beyond the Fall of Night, published in 1990 by Ace/Putnam.
