The synopsis titled "What Has Gone Before" is present at pages xi and xii. Navy boards with orange lettering on spine. Copy is square, clean and without previous owner's marks. Jacket is bright without tears, but has some light wear and crinkling at tips and upper edge of page block. A wonderfully preserved copy of book usually in poor condition from rough handling.

2 LORD FOUL'S BANE
Donaldson, Stephen R.
Nelson Doubleday, 1977,

Book Club Edition, first printing and true first edition. Not a remainder or ex-library copy. First printing code H21 on page 403, indicates a first printing in May 1977. This first printing by the SFBC preceded the Holt Rinehart Winston trade edition, making it the true first edition and relatively rare. The First Chronicle of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. Map by Lynne K. Plagge. Moderate jacket crinkling at top and bottom of spine panel with heavier crinkling and chipping at upper tips.
